On November 3, 2016, we had the distinct pleasure to support the Litigation and Women In Law sections of the CMBA during their Fall Social. Attorneys from law firms all over Cleveland turned out to show their Pumpkin Spice Spirit! The social was held at the Portside Distillery. They had a wonderful beer and specialty cocktail list. My personal favorite was the Womens Rea, clever right? It tasted like a little squeeze of warm, fresh Fall in my glass.
To keep with our near and dear mission of supporting local business, Cady Reporting provided desserts for the event from several locally owned bakeries. From Colozza’s in Parma, Ohio we provided lace cookies, lemon cannoli, mini cannoli (chocolate!) and other forms of sugary deliciousness. And who doesn’t love a gourmet donut with their winter port? Peace, Love and Little Donuts of Westpark provided two dozen donuts in an assortment that you had to see to believe. Some were painted with layers of chocolate, some with fruity pebbles, but the maple bacon seemed to take the cake…or donut. I declared it the winner when I heard an attorney say, “Is there a donut under there, or is it all bacon?!” before promptly picking it up and immensely enjoying it. They even provided a dozen donuts that were gluten free! Each sweet treat from both bakeries looked like a perfect piece of art and each tasted as good as it looked.
The reason that supporting these locally-owned bakeries is so important to us is that at Cady, we are a locally-owned family business. Supporting local businesses similar to ourselves is only one small way that we give back to our community. To find out more about why buying local is so important, click here.
Invest in Cady, invest in Cleveland. (Also, get donuts.)
