Some of the hardest evidentiary issues for Ohio’s trial lawyers arise from
the introduction or attempted introduction of hearsay evidence. Retired
Judge Kimbler brings his experience of over 30 years on the bench to an
interactive discussion concerning Article VIII of the Ohio Rules of Evidence
which governs the admissibility of hearsay evidence. Judge Kimbler
will guide seminar attendees through 16 problems. The problems are
based on cases in Ohio’s appellate courts and Judge Kimbler’s own
experiences. Seminar participants will read the problems and discuss
them among themselves. Judge Kimbler will then give his own analysis of
the issues presented in each problem.

The seminar is based on problem-solving. Seminar attendees will be
better able to retain the material covered during the seminar.
