Who is Eric Henry? Some would call him a “hometown hero”, others “stellar”.  I’m sure that now you’re starting to see why Eric was chosen to participate in a large part of the Litigation Institute, put on by the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.

What is he like? Eric has all the qualities of a successful trial lawyer.  He is competitive from an athletic background. To put himself through Kent State, he worked 3 jobs: filling warehouse orders, construction and as a reporter for a local newspaper.  Next came law school at Case Western Reserve where he continued to carve his own path, work for a big Cleveland law firm and graduate with honors.  Eric is proud of the fact that nothing has been handed to him, and he won’t look for that in your case. He will look to genuinely help you with his innovative approach and unique strategies.

We asked Mr. Henry what he thought was an important takeaway and here is what he said:

“I thought the seminar was a great opportunity to see the mechanics of a trial and not just the theory. In presenting on voir dire, I tried to emphasize my belief that establishing rapport and trust with the panel is more important than any biographical information you will learn.”

This great advice and so much more was in no short supply at the Litigation Institute.  If you didn’t have a chance to attend this year, make sure not to miss this CLE next year!
