As the weather starts turning colder, those germs are flourishing! One of the things you can do to fight them off is to eat something delicious! No, sadly a cheeseburger is probably not the delightful thing that will help you fight off cold and flu germs. However, many other recipes boost your immune system while tasting good.
Here is a recipe for Afternoon Sipping Broth, courtesy of Danielle Capalino, author of “Healthy Gut, Flat Stomach Drinks.”
Ingredients
1 cup chicken bone broth
1 ounce carrot juice
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
Directions
- Place the chicken bone broth in a small pot and heat over medium heat.
- Add all the other ingredients and stir to combine. Serve warm.
Why is this recipe so great?
The broth is super-rich in essential minerals like phosphorus, magnesium, and calcium, all of which are great for your health. This one adds even more nutrients to the mix, with antioxidant-packed ingredients like carrot juice and turmeric.
